Job Summary: The Product Configurator Developer is responsible for the the review, analysis, system processes, and user needs for the product configurator software. This position is involved in the development of business cases, facilitation of analysis workshops, the selection of the most effective solution and the definition and management of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure enterprise operational and IT deliverables meet the requirements of the enterprise. This position understands the enterprise’s operational needs for both automated and manual solutions to custom product configuration. Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs requirements gathering and analysis to include: analytical techniques, interview techniques, data gathering techniques, current system documentation, business modeling methods, business process, rules and logic, data gathering to solve complex issues, development of implementation plans, development of requirements and key analytical troubleshooting. * Assists users in prioritizing new development projects, enhancement projects for existing systems, and system maintenance requests. * Evaluates system performance and reports to management. * Partners with business users to gather all requirements to formulate business specifications and translating those into business functionality. * Works closely with other groups within the enterprise’s operational and IT groups to coordinate plans and activities including: development tasks; application and enterprise business operational upgrades; IT system upgrades; and the deployment of new products or services. * Analyze and resolve problems quickly and efficiently as they relate to business services. * Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from users on specifications. * Communicates the business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team and serving as business interface from the enterprise’s operational management team managing expectations and defining business satisfaction metrics. * Understands the long-term business objectives and suggesting strategies to meet those objectives; introducing innovation to business processes through technology if appropriate. * Develop and coordinate project plans. * Design, develop, program and implement systems to specifications. * Assists the enterprise’s business operations staff in developing content or other materials; recommending enhancements and identifying new business requirements. * Conducts training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures. * Conducts meetings on all levels of management for purposes of presentations, reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc. * Maintain working relationships with end-users and other IT functions.​​​​​​​ Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in a technical areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. * At least 1 year of related experience in which creating, summarizing, reporting, and/or maintaining consistent, up-to-date data was a primary function. * Strong understanding of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Additional Skills: * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. * Must be able to accurately and completely enter data, extrapolate data, and create reports/summaries. * Strong analytical skills to interpret complex, cross-functional requirements and challenges. * Understanding of complex configurable models. * Ability to work efficiently with team members from different geographical locations and expertise backgrounds. * Strong interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills. * Ability to effective communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Physical Demands: The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Travel: This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
