IP Paralegal-NYC law firm$65-$115K plus OT. The firm is specifically chosen by clients because of our experience, depth of knowledge and facility in managing challenging situations.The Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal will support the initiatives of the Firm, including, but not limited to supporting the attorneys in rendering legal services to clients in all aspects of Intellectual Property.As a Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will:Conduct review and analyze IP searches, including initial screening searchesConduct preliminary IP searches relating to due diligence projectsAssist with preparation of schedules and recordation of Intellectual Property security documents for U.S. federal IPFile and follow-up on filings of U.S. federal IP security documentsAdminister files, filing price-quotes and invoicesDraft trademark prosecution documents for filing at appropriate offices; monitor and maintain applications through issuancePrepare reports regarding pending patent and trademark applications; oversee accuracy and necessary follow-up on daily docket entries and maintain portfolios with supervising attorneysExtract relevant information from outside counsel correspondence and official Patent & Trademark Office databasesEnter and track due dates into docketing system and monitor actions dueCommunicate with the USPTO, USCO, attorneys, agents, outside counsel, vendors, and staff about filing and prosecution matters Job Specifications:Bachelor?s degreeAt least five (5) years of work experience with respect to IP filingsKnowledge of USPTO and USCO proceduresKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)Knowledge of IP legal databases and docketing softwareKnowledge of trademark search vendorsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize responsibilities and work under tight deadlinesAbility to handle and maintain confidential informationAbility to work in a diverse team environment to effectively support the demanding needs of the FirmSalary commensurate with experience level and the marketFull benefits, discretionary bonus and potential overtime
