Manage, market, and underwrite new and renewal commercial surety book of business through direct contact with large customers and select agencies and brokers. --- License & Permit bonds. --- Bid, performance and payment bonds. --- Commercial performance bonds. --- Large appeal court bonds Activities: *** Develop profitable book of surety business of varying degrees of complexity for assigned territory by considering the strengths and weaknesses of producer territory and competitors, divisional objectives, and overall market conditions. *** Drive profit and premium to meet financial goals and objectives through development, negotiation, and execution of business plans. *** Lead and influence agencies through creation of sales strategies and implementation of sales processes and practices to drive new sales, profit, and customer retention. *** Attend selected industry events that provide interactions with producers, National Association of Surety Bond Producers member agents, and potential accounts. *** Prospect, appoint, and manage producer relationships to achieve production and profitability objectives. *** Analyze financial status, credit standing, and organization profit to determine acceptability of risks. *** Underwrite new surety submissions within underwriting authority. *** Negotiate terms and conditions consistent with market segment requirements and standards. *** Ensure accurate underwriting documentation in account management systems and adherence to documentation standards.
