Overview WalkerHealthCareIT is seeking an Details Technology Security Specialist for a long term project in MI. This is a contract position. The Details Technology Security Specialist will be working on-site and have a M-F schedule. Description With general guidance and coaching, participates in design, development and implementation of specific new and emerging technologies, platforms and services. Assists in the assessment of technical viability of new products and technologies. Works with developers and infrastructure specialists to pilot and evaluate new technologies. Participates in development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Qualifications Evaluate and manage Info Security risk associated with internal business operations as well as vendors and other key third party relationships. Coordinate and create training and awareness activities for the enterprise. Design and operate key operational and executive metrics, reports and dashboards. Day-to-day management of Details Security risk identification, mitigation and acceptance processes in coordination with security operations. Execution of training, education and awareness of all users, managers and board members regarding Details Security qualifications and expectations. Operational risk planning, mitigation and remediation to address Info Security deficiencies. Development of policies, procedures and standards to ensure and enhance security. Perform vendor and third party risk assessments. Specific tasks during assessments include: o Issuing vendor notifications. o Coordinating distribution and completion of vendor assessment questionnaire. o Performing vendor response analysis. o Conducting on-site assessments, examining risks and controls associated with all aspects of the parent and its subsidiaries & vendors. o Drafting preliminary findings reports. o Conducting preliminary results meeting with the client and its subsidiaries stakeholders and management staff and actively update the Risk Management tool. o Conducting vendor debriefs to explain results and findings. o Receiving and review vendor response/action plan, if necessary. o Monitoring vendor and follow-up on action plan status, if necessary. o Communicates the results of assessment and/or projects in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management. o Analyzes root cause issues and communicates lessons learned. Strong current expertise of the HIPAA, HITECH and ISO security regulations and frameworks. Strong understanding of Info Security and the relationship between threat, vulnerability and details value in the context of risk management. Good understanding of risk-based decision-making (i.e. risk analysis, mitigation, resolution, acceptance, etc.) Possess a good understanding of appropriate leading-edge governance-enabling technologies. Demonstrated expertise to work within a highly effective, cohesive and collaborative team. Expertise to work within aggressive deadlines. Strong report and presentation written correspondence skills. Expertise to present complex ideas and concepts to all levels of management. Min 3-5 yrs related skills wanted. Min of 2 yrs leadership in Info Security policy, standards, architecture, technology and programs. Min of 1yrs of experience in healthcare or compliance-oriented industry is preferred. Extensive experience developing and managing a diverse and inclusive team environment with strong commitment to respect, equality and teaming. Bachelors degree in computer science, details systems, engineering, business administration or a related position is required. Masters degree in computer science, info systems, engineering, business administration or a related position is preferred, but not required. Must have at least 1 of the following active certifications: CISA, CISM, CISSP Other related certifications such as ITIL, PMP, SANS/GSEC, CIPP, CRISC, CFE, CGEIT, CPA/CA are preferred, but not required.
