Industrial Relations Country Alstom Americas is seeking an Industrial Relations Country Lead to manage labour and employee relations for its union-represented & non-represented employees in Canada. This position will report to the Director of Industrial Relations, Americas. The IR Country Lead position is responsible for developing and implementing labour and employee relations initiatives and strategies in Canada. Job Responsibilities Include: Establish labour relations strategies regarding Alstom Canada's unionized workforce and our employees’ bargaining representatives that align with and support Alstom Regional, Americas, and global priorities and goals Provide advice and counsel to management on all matters involving labour and employment law and labour contract interpretation and administration. Ensure workplace compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and regulations. Provide counsel and direction regarding employment practices; ensure compliance with Company policy, procedures, and programs; interpret and provide guidance to employees and managers. Act as a chief spokesperson for the Company in single and multi-employer negotiations with bargaining unit representatives Prepare, coordinate and assist with Company pre-negotiations collective bargaining strategy and the internal economic approval request process.
