Housing Manager: Arrears & Income Teesside, Durham & Sunderland Permanent, Full time (37.5 hpw), typically 9:00am – 17:00pm Monday – Friday Salary £28,200 to £32,000 pa, negotiable based on skills and experience, with great benefits including Health cash plan Home, a place where you belong This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Groups awesome housing team in Teesside, Durham & Sunderland. As our Housing Manager, you’ll be the face-to-face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities. It is an ideal job for someone who has a passion for income collection and sustaining tenancies. You may already have extensive experience as a generic Housing Manager or experience of income collection within another sector. You’ll join our team with a real focus on arrears case management and sustaining tenancies. You will be supported by the wider housing management teams, Neighbourhood Assistants, Financial Inclusion Partners and Community Housing Assistants. Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods. Typical day as a Housing Manager: Arrears & Income You will work through rent arrears cases for our general needs, shared ownership and leasehold customers covering our homes in Teesside, Durham & Sunderland and decide on the necessary course of action. You will work on specific campaigns to reduce arrears, such as targeted work with customers in a locality. You will work closely with our Financial Inclusion Partners and external partners to discuss rent accounts and to support customers to sustain their tenancies. You’ll progress legal paperwork such as notices and prepare witness statements for rent arrears cases at court. You will also have involvement across our other housing.
