IDC/Shaily UK are looking for a Design Engineer/Graduate Design Engineer What we do At Shaily UK, we are creating innovative devices for Sustainable Global Health. Shaily UK is a joint venture with IDC, a design consultancy with over 50 years of experience, and Shaily Engineering Plastics, a plastic solutions and injection moulding company. Shaily UK specialise in the design and development of drug delivery devices and serve a range of medical clients across the globe. Shaily UK projects encompass a full range of product development activities including: user research, concept generation, mechanical engineering, detailed design for manufacture, verification support, testing, prototyping and production. All relevant teams (design, tooling, assembly, quality assurance, metrology, verification and medical) collaborate to ensure we design commercial, technically robust and desirable drug delivery devices. What we could do for you Working on a variety of different drug delivery devices, from concept through to mass production, working closely with Shaily Engineering Plastics, the role will expose you to all elements of medical device design. You will be given the flexibility and support to develop your skills and knowledge. Along with the varied and exciting work in a vibrant and friendly studio environment, this role offers a competitive salary, pension, life & income protection. Based within the IDC studio, the role is mainly studio based, but with some flexibility to work from home. Located directly by the station in Datchet, we are 50 minutes from London Waterloo by train and have parking on site. What you would be doing Working in a multi-disciplinary team generating innovate designs based on preliminary research and sound engineering principles, while diagnosing and identifying solutions on existing development projects Detailed design from concept to production with high attention to detail on components, complex mechanisms and assemblies so.
