Geotechnical Engineer : Great Pay and Benefits : North West Our client is a contractor specialising in delivering bespoke design and build solutions in the field of geotechnical engineering. They primarily focus on rock and slope stability, providing unique and innovative solutions to their clients. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in geotechnical engineering to work on challenging projects and contribute to success. Job Description: As a Geotechnical Engineer at the company, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of responsibilities, primarily focused on the inspection and stabilisation of rock and soil slopes. Key duties will include inspecting rock faces, slopes, and retaining walls, both on foot and using ropes with the guidance of an experienced rope access supervisor. Training in IRATA rope access will be provided. You will also visit ongoing slope stabilisation projects to ensure construction aligns with design specifications, assist with marking out and problem: solving on site, review existing designs to find cost: saving solutions, and prepare quotations, inspection reports, and outline design solutions. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar geotechnical engineering role Practical experience in inspecting rock and soil slopes Bachelors degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related subject (essential) Excellent report writing skills Full, clean driving license (essential) Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from GBP30,000 to GBP40,000 per annum (depending on experience) Flexible and home working arrangements Car allowance/company car Life Assurance (work and leisure) Free financial, mortgage, and pensions advice Enhanced maternity pay (10 weeks at full pay if employed for 52 weeks before the due date) Holiday purchase option (up to 5 additional days per year) Auto enrolment in Aegon pension scheme 24/7 virtual GP service 24/7 mental health support.
