The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for on-going reconciliation of a proprietary billing system to a major OEM's general ledger. Reports To Accounts Receivable Manager Job Responsibilities Accounting (80%) Business Support (20%) Support cash management function, including daily and monthly bank reconciliations Prepare journal entries Full cycle general ledger close (balance sheet account reconciliations, standard, recurring, reversing and allocation journal entries, review various G/L accounts for reasonableness) Maintain multiple general ledger chart of accounts Assist with the development of the existing financial accounting systems and processes necessary to maintain reporting requirements Participate in meetings to review financial statements and variances as needed Support testing of legacy application Provide pro-active accounting, and business support to business team Learn and assist as needed business processes to support program growth Assist in cash application on an as needed basis Daily banking file preparation Assist in the accounts receivable maintenance Account reconciliations on customer account balances Skills and Experience Required The ability to work within established monthly closing deadlines and other production standards Working knowledge of accrual accounting principles and standards Intermediate MS Excel spreadsheet Experience working with multiple entities Strong phone and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Able to work in a group or team orientated environment, in a semi-independent situation Required Education Degree preferred in either Accounting or Finance Other Requirements Position is full time 40 hours per week MSX International is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer committed to employing a diverse workforce.
