Requisition ID: 150370 Opportunity Type: Permanent Estimated Annual Salary: 400,000 - 450,000 Type of Remuneration: FFS - Fee For Service Site Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit Program For information and to determine eligibility for Department of Health and Wellness Incentives, please contact About the Opportunity The Department of Radiology at Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) - Sydney Radiology Group, is looking to recruit a full-time general diagnostic radiologist and an interventional radiologist to join the radiology group. The positions are expected to commence ASAP. Cape Breton Regional hospital is a 250-bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Expansion of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre including a new state-of-the-art CT in a satellite imaging unit with the new Emergency department are currently in progress. The successful candidates will be part of a group of 8 radiologists serving the population of Cape Breton Island. Radiology services at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital are equipped to provide a full range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Radiology department looks after 3 CT scanners across two hospitals (CBRH and Inverness) and 1 MRI scanner. The group has multimodality expertise including Neuroradiology, Body imaging, Women’s imaging, Cardiac/thoracic imaging, Oncology and Vascular-interventional radiology. As a member of the professional staff body of NSHA, radiologists are expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives, including peer review. Qualifications Candidates must be: certified, or eligible for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS), and satisfy the credentialing requirements of the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA). .
