Role Gardener Pay rate GBP12.59 ph Location Newport City Council, Telford Depot, Telford Street, Newport, NP19 0ES Job Type Contractual Role, Initially for 4 months with the view to extension Hours Full Time, 37 hours per week, Mon: Fri, 7.30 to 3.30 Mon to Turs then 7.30 to 3 pm on Friday Start Date 1st April 2024 Responsibilities Operate a rotary mower or ride: on mower to cut grass efficiently and effectively. Trim gardens and grassed areas to maintain a neat and tidy appearance. Perform hedge: cutting and pruning tasks with precision and care. Prioritise personal safety and the safety of colleagues and others in the vicinity. Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team to achieve common goals. Essential Requirements: Valid driving license. Self: motivated and capable of working independently. Ability to work well within a team environment.
