The Role The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with a team dedicated to providing financial expertise and sound reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders. This is a remote opportunity to be based out of Vancouver or Toronto depending on the successful candidate. Occasional on-site meetings may be required. Responsibilities Analyze budget to actuals to highlight risks, opportunities, and make recommendations Partner with various business units to understand objectives and update relevant models, budgets, forecasts, and reporting Improve processes around analytical tools and internal reporting to improve the quality and efficiency of FP&A activities Assist in producing accurate and timely reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders Ad-hoc duties as necessary Qualifications Post-secondary education in finance or relevant field preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in an FP&A or similar role Professional designation (CPA or CFA) preferred Big 4 experience is an asset Able to work both autonomously and in a team environment Passionate about understanding the drivers behind the numbers Skilled in communicating technical accounting knowledge of financial statements Resourceful in finding solutions to problems.
