To support the education of trauma clinicians across Nova Scotia, our program is seeking a Medical Director with expertise in Trauma Education to co-lead several provincial initiatives. About the Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Medical Director, Nova Scotia Health Trauma Program, and in a co-leadership model with the Trauma Clinical Practice (Education) Leader, this position is responsible to design and implement a multi-pronged, multi-disciplinary provincial trauma education program. The Education Medical Director is responsible for: Under the direction of the SMD, the Trauma Education Medical Director will chair (in a co-lead role with the SMD) a provincial Trauma Education Committee to engage relevant trauma system stakeholders including TTLs (NSH), IWK Health Centre and Emergency Health Services The Trauma Education Medical Director will work closely with the Trauma Clinical Practice Leader to develop, implement, and evaluate the Nova Scotia Trauma Course. The successful candidate will develop a complementary remote education program to support clinician education virtually. The Trauma Education Medical Director, with support from the Trauma Clinical Practice Leader and the TNS Research and Statistical Officer, will develop and organize a comprehensive evaluation structure for all education activities within TNS.
