Position Description:Job Posting End Date: This job posting will be removed on May 10, 2024.PLEASE NOTE: This position can be based in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, or Austin.This position will provide support for MAOP Records Verifications, MAOP Reconfirmation projects, and material verifications. Responsibilities include reviewing installation documentation, pressure tests, material specifications, and drawings, as well as developing MAOP Reconfirmation projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong core values in safety and ethical standards, possess a keen attention to detail, be willing to be hands-on with tools and equipment, communicate effectively, and collaborate as a team member. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule and can be located in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, or Austin.What You Will DoCoordinate and perform a basic level of engineering activities.Coordinate, assist, and perform engineering activities relative to the design, operation, and maintenance of company pipeline and storage systems and related facilities.Assist with project coordination among area regions, departments (Customer Development, Operating, and Customer Services), and contractors including: * Bid proposals and contracts * Line extensions * Construction and/or relocation projectsProvide technical and engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including: * Meter and regulator settings * Equipment/system design * Pipeline sizes * Pipeline modeling * Database analyses * Growth planning * Emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems * Policies and proceduresReview, summarize, and prepare information including: * Engineering studies * Pipeline bid proposals * Construction contracts * Status/activity reports * Job orders * Purchase requisitionsRegular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.Employee may perform additional duties as assigned.What You Will NeedPreferred bachelor's degree in engineeringWorking knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.Demonstrated ability with application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics.Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and software such as AutoCAD, Stoner, Excel, Access, and other relevant software.Experience and training related to: * Customer services field procedures * Transmission/distribution pipeline operations * Company/governmental operating and safety procedures * Line extension and relocation proceduresIdentify, research, evaluate, and prioritize problems or specific situations and coordinate appropriate action/response.Research and prepare pipeline construction contracts, pipeline capacity lease (PCL) requests, budget projects, job orders, material requisitions, engineering studies, and correspondence.Read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, charts, surveys, load studies, and multiple reports and correspondence.Interact, negotiate, advise, and communicate effectively.Develop information and make presentations to groups and individuals.Read and write fluently in English.Preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.Minimum applicable driver's license.Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out of doors.Operate tools and equipment required.Communicate and exchange information; conduct oral presentations.Visual abilities to perform job duties.Diversity at ONE GasInclusion & Diversity is so important to us that we made it one of our core values, values that guide and direct our actions as we go about our daily business.
