Summary To provide per diem coverage for patient care in the BSLMC McNair Campus Emergency Department (ED). The McNair ED is a four-bed facility with very manageable volumes (less than 5000 annual visits) for a single coverage physician. 24-hour shifts are available if requested. Locker rooms, showers, and sleep facilities are also on site. Job Duties The physician is expected to demonstrate competency in following areas: Renewing and meeting all required licenses and certification requirements. Proficiency with EPIC- electronic medical records and document all patient encounters as needed. Complete all documentation in a timely manner so that billing and other administrative tasks can happen smoothly to ensure a robust operational system. Maintaining credentialing at all times to ensure practice is not disrupted. Minimum Qualifications M.D. or D.O. and licensed by the Texas Medical Board Graduated from an accredited Emergency Medicine residency Baylor College of Medicine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Equal Access Employer.
