Description:
This position provides guidance on the overall strategic direction for restaurant technology for this large Corporate Restaurant Group. This technology includes, but is not limited to, evaluation, selection, configuration, testing and deployment of restaurant systems hardware and software such as, Point of Sale, labor management, inventory management and on line ordering systems. This position is also responsible for managing the hardware and software for the restaurant back office systems. Assignments include the restaurant network configuration and security and will work in conjunction with the Director of Infrastructure on the design, implementation, and support of the WAN.In addition, this position will manage vendor relationships related to all store hardware and software and manage all Tier three level support as necessaryThis position is responsible for building and managing the Restaurant System technical team and POS System Supervisors to support the business needs with current and future technologies.Under minimal supervision, the role requires interaction with the operational and business community to provide support, define solutions, elaborate qualifications, and implement changes to support the evolving needs of the restaurants. The person in this position will partner with business users, internal IT resources, and third parties to solve significant technology-related business problems. JOB FUNCTIONS Provide strategic recommendations on new restaurant technologies.Manage the members of the Restaurant Systems team to provide daily maintenance for the master POS database, based on the business requests, ensuring timelines are met.Plan the evaluation, selection and implementation of all new restaurant technologies to support business qualifications.Develop and execute project plans for all new restaurant initiatives, ensuring proper timelines are established and met.Follow standard development cycle practices to ensure quality products are delivered to the end users.Provide mentoring and coaching for all teammates.Respond to operational management inquiries concerning systems operationManage new restaurant installations, and advise on technological opportunities and/or challengesManage tier 3 technical support calls from initiation to resolution.Manage a positive vendor relationshipAssist other members of the team with diagnosis, review and resolution of all technical issues.Provide on call support, as needed 7/24
