As our Director of Events at Kimpton Fitzroy London you will be responsible for overseeing the sales and planning of various groups and events, including weddings, social functions, and corporate events. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes: A Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications in event planning, project management, or hospitality are an asset. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, events or a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry or at a luxury hotel. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, demonstrating effective team management and mentorship. You will have excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills to oversee the group and event sales team, as well as the planning and execution of multiple events simultaneously. You understand the groups and events pricing and availability strategy for the hotel and can adjust this to suit the hotel’s changing needs. You are a strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills meaning you can effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams. You have previous experience in using hotel management systems, event sales software, event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems to manage.
