As Director of Engineering Product Development, you will lead and manage a team in the development of new foodservice products and equipment from concept to commercialization. In this role, you'll contribute to driving innovation, leading teams, project execution excellence, and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and contribute to MFT's growth and success. We offer a hybrid work model: we collaborate in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The rest of the week, you have flexibility to work wherever it suits you best. What You'll Do Lead the R&D Product Development team in executing the product development process from ideation through commercialization, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget across multiple R&D functions. Partnering with the Enterprise Project Management Office team, select and optimize R&D functional teams for product specifications, ensure they have the necessary resources to successfully complete projects, and hold the team accountable to timing and budget parameters. Collaborate with all engineering and other business functions, including manufacturing, marketing, and sales, to ensure that new products meet customer needs and are aligned with business objectives Partner with Product Management and to execute on product and technology roadmaps Ensure that all new products are designed to meet or exceed durability, reliability, and regulatory requirements and industry standards Develop, manage, and own the R&D Product Development department budget, ensuring efficient and effective resource and expense allocation Enable the team to perform at their best by providing regular guidance, coaching, mentorship, training and career development Who You Are Inspiring Leader: Demonstrated ability to get the team moving in the same direction to deliver results Collaborative Partner: Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers Change Maker: Develops and enables new solutions to sustain the business and improve competitive advantage Optimizer: Finds ways to continuously improve processes, methods and team performance Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Engineering, Business, or related field 10+ years of experience in technical product development or related field, with a track record of successfully launching new products to market Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams Experience in project management techniques and strategies Benefits We support your well-being with comprehensive and easy-to-use benefits that you'll be eligible to enroll in on your first day of employment.
