At the Department of Public Works (DPW), we manage 23,000 kilometers of roads and highways and 4,100 bridges across Nova Scotia as well as 2,400 buildings. We also support community and active transportation – connecting people and their communities. In the Policy and Corporate Services Division at DPW, we are responsible for supporting the entire department of Public Works and it’s Crown Agencies, as well as initiatives that impact road safety and the economic well being of the transportation industry, and the shippers who rely on it, both within the province and between the province and its various national and international markets. We’re seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to contribute innovative ideas. About Our Opportunity Reporting to the Executive Director of Policy and Corporate Services, the Director of Corporate Services will lead the design and implementation of corporate requirements for key support services for the Department of Public Works. As the Director of Corporate Services, you will be responsible for: • Leading departmental initiatives to support strategic alignment and enhance efficiency across divisions. • Leading departmental business administration including corporate planning, accountability, and reporting processes. • Oversight of information assets and records management. As the Director, you will work with Senior Management, other government departments, and external clients to identify needs and ensure projects and initiatives are completed on time and within budget.
