SUMMARY OF POSITION: Perform a variety of home and/or community based direct care duties to support individuals with autism and to promote their dignity, safety, health, welfare, rights, development and social inclusion; provide transportation to individuals. POSITION AVAILABILITY: Reliable support person needed in Longmeadow area to assist a young man with autism in the areas of skill-building, self-advocacy and community-based recreational activities, using a person-centered approach. Consistent attendance and good communication skills required. Must have experience working with people with autismInquiries welcome for all or any of the above assignments. HOURLY RATE: $18.00 QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years or older Valid Massachusetts driver's license Reliable transportation High school diploma or GED Two supervisory references.
