Design Engineer Chesterfield A GBP 35,000 to A GBP 45,000 DOE + Bonus + Pension + 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Development Monday to Friday 40 Hours Per Week Experienced Design Engineer required for a professional and innovative mechanical handling equipment manufacturer who specialise in the nuclear industry. This is a great opportunity to join an internationally recognised company who are well established and have a company history of 45 years. The Design Engineer role would suit mechanically biased engineers from a projects or design background with 3D design experience. You will ideally have experience of using Inventor or Solid Works and candidates from a background of working with any type of machinery design are encouraged. This role would suit candidates with experience running projects and is able to carry out hand calculations. The role itself is split 50:50 between project management and design. You will work within a small team and will take ownership of your own projects. You will be responsible for putting together technical documentation including BOMs and QA documentation. The role is very customer facing as you will be responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met. You will also be responsible for liaising with suppliers. On the design side, you will be responsible for creating bespoke 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor. The company are well established and has built an unrivalled reputation in their design and manufacture of bespoke mechanical handling systems and after sales support.
