Description Leidos is seeking a summer intern with a Systems Engineering background to join our team in support of the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract, the largest IT services program for the Navy. On the SMIT contract, Leidos delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. The Leidos team supports the Navy in transforming and modernizing NMCI by planning, analyzing, designing, and implementing services and systems that affect 400,000+ users and 1,600 locations. The successful candidate will support Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities as well as Requirements and Architecture tasks. The successful candidate will gain experience and training on MBSE, Cameo System Modeler, Requirements Analysis, Architecture Synthesis, DoD domain, Navy domain, and IT services.Primary ResponsibilitiesContribute to the Systems Engineering team's projectsParticipate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of the NMCIUtilize Cameo Systems Modeler to model the NMCI Systems and ServicesSupport the creation/modification of requirements and architecture related to NMCI projectsCollaborate with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplinesComply with ITSM processes and proceduresComply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239Support the development and maintenance of processes, checklists, and proceduresBasic QualificationsEnrolled in a degree program as a Systems Engineer (or similar) major with graduation planned lat 2024-2026GPA 3.0 or betterAbility to obtain a security clearanceUS citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications Experience with Cameo Systems ModelerExperience with SysMLExperience with Teamwork CloudAbility to obtain Security+ (or other relevant) certification to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirementsPay Range:Pay Range $44,200.00 - $79,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
