DBS: Cooks: Probation Hostels Candidates must have a current DBS MCINTYRE HOUSE: CV11 5RD: Saturday and Sunday: 1pm to 6pm As a Cook your knowledge of cooking and organizational excellence will lead the way. This is a chance to make a positive impact, the site is home to ex: offenders which means youll make a huge impact on many lives, every day Job Duties Lead the kitchen facilities and plan all meals and assist with prep Order supplies and keep records of spending and compliance Monitor sanitation practices ensuring to follow standards and regulations Prepare, produce and present food in volume for a small group of residents Be capable of working alone, but able to communicate well Keep Health and Safety at heart of what youre doing What you bring: 2 years of experience in hands: on cooking Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards Experience in following recipes and open to cooking many cuisines Perks of the job Working with our client is more than a job; its a chance to be part of something greater. In addition, we offer: Flexible and dynamic work environment Competitive compensation Access to ongoing training and development programs Countless opportunities to grow within the company Full training and full protective uniform supplied Please DO NOT apply if you do not have a DBS already The roles will be made permanent if all goes well after around 13 weeks You must be comfortable working in the probation hostel (this is safe and secure) and you MUST be reliable and in this for the long term The pay rate for the first 13 weeks probation is GBP10.42 + paid holiday or GBP11.68 with no paid holiday After the 13 weeks when taken on direct the rate is GBP10.42 + paid holiday + an attendance bonus of an additional GBP1 for every hour worked paid.
