Job Details Job Title: Data Analyst (Corporate Insights) : HC608977 Location: Mottisfont, Winchester (hybrid working an option) Salary: Scale SO1, GBP 33,915 : GBP 35,982 per annum (plus GBP 1000 market supplement) Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing date: Sunday 11th February 2024 at 23:59 hours The Corporate Insights Analysis Team Our team is responsible for long term strategic workforce forecasting and analysis. This places insight into the hands of those delivering our service to empower and support strategic decision: making to develop the workforce flexibility, capability and the inclusivity required to adapt to the changing operating environment. We create regular reports, briefings to strategic management boards and bespoke analytical products which assist the force in understanding if we have the workforce and processes in place to service our demand. Analytical support is in demand in HIOWC and increasing each year. We utilise tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, Excel, models and our skills with data to provide the force with the insight to make decisions. We focus on topics such as: : Long term resource forecasting: Crime and Incident forecasting: Workforce insights into available resourcing and budget: Diversity, including gender pay gap reporting, ethnicity pay gap reporting and protected characteristics analysis: Workforce availability, skills and utilisation backssed against demand. In summary, we try to understand our workforce, the demand we face and the ability of those resources to meet that demand by analysing the impact of attrition, sickness, training, recruitment and organisational processes. We also undertake ad hoc projects which assist the Constabulary in understanding issues and emerging risks. What you will do: Our Data Analyst will work with the team to produce the above in addition to having their own bespoke data projects.
