THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Customer Outreach Representative will support Silke Communications Solutions in deploying a company-wide strategy used to engage customers to promote positive working relationships and to facilitate additional revenue growth provided by excellent customer service. While this position will also require some administrative and reporting tasks and responsibilities, the emphasis will be placed on proactive customer outreach, including extensive telephone calling, and in-person visits to existing customers. Both f ull-time and part-time roles are available This position provides the training for growth and opportunity - and with the goal is to transition to a full-time sales position with a base plus commission plan - if the employee is dedicated and desires that role. WHAT YOU'LL DO Nurtures both new and current customer relationships through consistent customer outreach, including in-person customer visits and customer phone calls. Daily customer outreach phone calls promoting superior customer service to existing customers. Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including results of both in-person visits and telephone conversations. Support in outreach A/R calls to customers as needed. Discuss and promote Fleet Peak (Maintenance Agreement) contracts when applicable during customer visits. Communicate regularly with the Director of Sales to continually develop better ways of reaching out to customers. Preparing and sending reports to the Director of Sales on customer outreach activity. Other duties as directed. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 1-2+ years of customer service experience is recommended but not required. Quick learner who operates well both independently and within a team. Possesses an effective combination of customer service ethic, and attention to detail, and can demonstrate the ability to connect with and maintain long-term relationships with customers. Can demonstrate examples of connecting with and maintaining a strong relationship with prospects and customers. Possesses strong attention to detail and organization. Someone who is motivated, driven, and interested in a potential sales representative progression. Possesses strong computer skills, efficient in typing, and has experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PAY TRANSPARENCY The starting compensation range for this position is $17 - $20 per hour.
