Six Mile, LLC is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to join our team. The Custodial Supervisor will plan, assign, and supervise the work and training of an entire custodial force engaged in cleaning activities. Supervisors must be able to comply with all Governmental policies, procedures and regulations. Supervisors shall present a neat appearance and be easily recognizable in approved company dress or uniform and identified by wearing appropriate identification. Supervisors are expected at all times to strive to train and motivate their team to find innovative solutions to complete the assigned tasking.Type of position: Full-time, Salaried, ExemptReports to: Project ManagerLocation: Rock Island, IL Primary Duties include: Supervises and trains janitorial staff Ensures custodial services are met Maintains operational and safety procedures Create and maintain records Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Minimum 2 years' supervisory of large-scale housekeeping, janitorial, building maintenance or custodial work; experience with demonstration of increased responsibility Minimum of 5 years' custodial experience with demonstration of increased responsibility and strong supervisory skills preferred Management experience in lieu of large-scale housekeeping, janitorial, building maintenance or custodial work will be considered Ability to pass a background and drug screening Must have knowledge of stripping, waxing, shampooing carpets Proficient in Microsoft Office Products CBA/Government contracting experience preferred Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in an office setting and interfaces with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
