The ideal candidate will possess strong legal acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding clients' rights.Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights in criminal matters and prepare relevant legal documents.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.Manage court appearances, trials, and drafting of legal motions.Interview witnesses, conduct legal research, and analyze probable outcomes of cases.Manage workload effectively to ensure timely resolution of cases.Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits.Gather additional evidence to support the client's case or challenge the prosecution's charges.Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from key witnesses and experts.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of Criminal Defense experience.Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.Strong team player is willing to collaborate with fellow associates.Fluency in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred.Exceptional interpersonal skills.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Case management and trial preparation.Communication and negotiation.Ability to work effectively under pressure.Fluency in English and Spanish (preferred).Interpersonal skills for building strong client relationships.Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Competitive compensation package.Paid parking.Paid time off.And more.
