The position will serve as liaison between the Lending Team and Loan Operations while coordinating exception, financial, and collateral tracking. The Credit Specialist will also assist in basic financial analysis and credit memorandum preparation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that credit files are current and complete with required documentation. Review new loan files for accuracy and adherence to loan policy (loan checkbacks). Complete basic spreads of customer financials and tax returns. Manage daily operations within CenterDoc Generate and distribute lists to lenders such as lender portfolio and delinquency reports. Complete loan compliance reviews on a scheduled basis. Responsible for the administration and follow up of Technical Exceptions and Customer Financials reports. Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality. Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Knowledge of mathematical applications. Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and workplace terminology. Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs. The ability to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. The ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. The ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. A sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information. The ability to assess risks to business operations. The ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, audit, or verifying information or data. The ability to create processes and procedures from scratch. The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. A minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience, is required. Prior credit experience is preferred.
