We are excited to be seeking an Engineering - Corporate Intern to join the group for the 2023 summer season. This will be an hourly (non-exempt) position with typical work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following items are related to the Cooperative's needs for generation, transmission, substation, distribution, metering, SCADA, communication, and other systems and equipment as assigned.An Engineering Corporate Intern will assist in : Investigating design and feasibility of turbo expander generators in natural gas pipelines. Investigation and design of power source for a LIDAR Station. Assistance with evaluation, design, and construction of renewable energy projects. Assistance with grant applications. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, LICENSE & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent. 50% completion of an ABET accredited BS Engineering degree. In order to be considered for this position, a copy of your transcripts must be uploaded to the resume section when applying. Work experience in a technical field and/or industrial environment is preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must demonstrate the skills and results oriented attitude to implement management direction and achieve results with limited direction. Must have in-depth knowledge of engineering concepts. Must have the ability to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to work with exponents and logarithms, linear and quadratic equations, statistical analysis, and other forms of advance math.
