Position Summary: American Equipment is a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial cranes, specializing in providing high-quality and reliable solutions for various industrial applications. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our team on a seasonal basis for a period of 6 months (June 2024 to December 2024). As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in the prequalification of potential vendors and customers, as well as the drafting, reviewing, and flagging of issues in various types of commercial contracts. Key Responsibilities: Prequalify credit worthiness of potential vendors and customers to ensure compliance with company policies and standards. Communicate and collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for contract drafting and review. Proof read, edit and fact-check documents for accuracy and consistency. Analyze and support the negotiation of contract provisions. Bring issues up to the business leadership and work towards a resolution Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal and business requirements. Manage contract templates and documentation, organize records, and ensure accurate and timely contract administration Gather all pertinent information from various departments to complete contracts. Communicate daily with Sales, Operations and Finance teams on signed deals as needed. Identify and flag any contractual issues or discrepancies, providing recommendations for resolution. Conduct contract analysis and risk assessments to mitigate potential legal or financial risks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation and records. Assist in the development and improvement of contract management processes and procedures. Required Skills/Abilities Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management or prior experience. Proven experience as a Contract Specialist or in a similar role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software. Work Environment Able to work in an office for extensive periods of time Sitting and standing Able to walk and traverse stairs Able to lift up to 10 lbs. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.American Equipment Holdings is an organization of leading overhead crane and hoist, industrial weighing, and below-the-hook service providers in the United States.
