Ricardo has a very successful chemical safety and regulatory business area, and we are looking for a technically competent and commercially aware consultant to support our REACH and CLP consultancy business in the European Union and UK. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts across Ricardo’s multidisciplinary organisation, and externally with academic, industry and regulatory partners, as well as support a wide range of public and private sector customers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to make a real contribution toward the safe and sustainable use of chemicals. We are a fast-growing team and are interested in hearing from applicants with a range of experience and specialist expertise to enhance our capabilities. To succeed in this role, you need to demonstrate knowledge and experience across both REACH and CLP, including the ability to author SDS to a high standard, with broader chemical regulatory compliance knowledge a secondary consideration. Strong customer service ethos and commercial acumen is a strong preference. Key competencies and experience Have an extensive background in supply regulations (and potentially transport regs as well); expert knowledge of REACH; safety data sheet authoring, understanding how to classify both substances and mixtures and author.
