JOB SUMMARY: The Consultant is accountable to provide leadership and strategic consultation and support to a broad range of multiple functional areas. As a member of Sask Power’s management team, this position is responsible for the creation and implementation of competitive solicitations and strategic programs for the development of renewable generation projects from Independent Power Producers (IPPs). This position will also be responsible to research industry trends and remain informed on other Sask Power programs, policies and procedures. This position will work to ensure alignment between private sector industry and corporate goals and objectives. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Provide strategic and confidential consultation and advice on a broad range of multiple functions, while providing creative solutions to the organization related to the management and day-to-day operations of the organization • Lead and participate in projects identifying current and future business needs, industry best practices, opportunities and challenges of the organization or department(s); providing recommendations and executing operational improvements to methods, systems and procedures that impact Sask Power’s operations and people • Lead and participate in cross-functional work teams, strategic planning initiatives, workshops and meetings in order to develop innovative and practical business solutions • Develop, organize.
