The Position The Compounding Associate will report to the Manufacturing Manager and prepare mixes of ingredients for production and blend them in accordance with SOPs/Batch Records to mix a variety of finished goods. The qualified candidate will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure production timelines are met. This role will report directly to the Compounding Manager. Responsibilities and Duties Preparing mixtures of raw ingredients to make finished goods. Using a variety of equipment to prepare the finished goods. Basic troubleshooting of all equipment Work together with supervisor to maintain production timeline Maintain a clean and organized work environment Read and follow standard operating procedures and department protocols Additional tasks as assigned by management for production and processing Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Skills and Abilities High degree of attention to detail and self-directed High degree of mechanical aptitude Effectively manage time by balancing multiple tasks simultaneously Effective communication skills Work effectively and cooperatively with others Must be able to meet production standards in a fast-paced work environment by performing tasks quickly and efficiently Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials Strong documentation and computer skills Manufacturing Quality Attention to Detail Thoroughness Education and Experience: High school or college level science degree and experience (previous practical experience in practical chemistry or running a professional kitchen preferred) Additional Requirements: This is a full-time position based out of Roxboro, NC or Raleigh/Durham, NC. Flexibility to work days/evenings/weekends depending on production schedules required Compensation commensurate with experience. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Background and reference checks required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Physical Demands: May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
