Would you thrive from a job that allows you to be out and about, travelling throughout Wales Join a charitable organisation as Rural Communities Development & Engagement Lead in supporting the journey of continued improvement and visible presence within communities, whilst reaping in the rewards of security of a permanent job and lots of employee benefits In the Community Engagement Officer job, you will be: “The face” of the Charity across rural Wales, ensuring supporters, donors, volunteers, partners, and the public feel connected to, and valued by, the Charity Raising awareness of the organisation and ensuring visible presence within communities Maintaining and developing strong and long-lasting relationships with new and existing supporters, community groups, volunteers, partners, and businesses in Wales’ rural communities to ensure that the particular needs of these communities continue to be embedded within the Charity’s strategic planning To be considered for the Community Engagement Officer job you must have: Previous experience of working in a customer focused / community / engagement role Exceptional relationship management and communication skills Confident to present to a diverse audience. Experience of effectively planning and coordinating community events Excellent data analysis, insight and evaluation skills, and experience of evidence-based decision making The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh essential A full driving license and vehicle access for work use due to travelling within the role This is a permanent full time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday position offering home-based / hybrid working however travel across Wales is essential to the post. Ideally, the post holder would be based in mid or north Wales to be a senior charity representative within these regions.
