The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Communications preserves and enhances the reputation of the organization and supports programs and service areas in meeting the needs of their patients, clients, partners and other key stakeholders. We currently have an opportunity for a communications & content specialist (Indigenous Health) at Shared Health, who will have a specific focus on supporting communications and content development for the Indigenous Health program and Shared Health communications. Position Overview Are you a creative communicator and storyteller with demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous customs, values, beliefs and traditions? Do you have experience working with Indigenous community/communities and a passion for supporting the communication needs of diverse populations in a way that celebrates their culture and customs? Under the general direction of the provincial lead, strategic communications and stakeholder relations and in direct support of Indigenous Health leadership, the communications specialist will: Craft and develop, engaging and thoughtful text, stories, concepts and campaigns to support improved awareness and understanding of Indigenous Health programs and services Create and edit copy for digital and print communications, including text for presentations and websites as well as patient-focused.
