UFCW 1518 is hiring a Communications and Engagement Representative to join our team. Join us in the fight for fairness. A Day in the Life As Communications and Engagement Representative, you will report directly to the Director of Communications and will be responsible for all graphic design and video content for UFCW 1518’s planning, organizing, and marketing campaigns. They will also lead the development of promotional material for events and projects from conception to completion. Here’s what you can expect to dig into in this exciting, hands-on role: Own UFCW 1518’s social media platforms, particularly video and visual content for emergent platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok, and maintaining a high responsiveness on social media Lead the development of our graphic assets for web and print including social media posts, infographics, web interfaces, magazines, leaflets, videos, etc. Support UFCW 1518’s overall brand, ensuring consistent and proper use and establishing processes and guidelines for effective and efficient communication and branding efforts. Assist in maintaining the union’s websites to help grow engagement through creating content, refining the UX of digital properties, and developing landing pages and micro-sites for organizing, campaigns, educational events, etc. Work with the Director of Communication to identify opportunities to engage current members and the public around important union and social justice news. Seek out opportunities to engage members in the bargaining process. Support communications related to union events, including education initiatives, and occasionally assist in facilitating and monitoring events. Contribute to the development of campaigns and help coordinate their implementation through stories, reports, publications, email marketing and newsletters to engage stakeholders.
