Modular Installs Contractor Now Hiring Construction Managers for its Dallas and Fort Worth locations. Long-term employment opportunity. Basic Function: Responsible to develop project budgets and proposal documents from the project Qualify to Contract sales process stages. Responsibilities: 1. Manage the entire bid proposal process (estimating, pricing, and coordination).2. Develop project scopes of work and general specifications3. Develop/Improve sub-contractor bidders list4. Develop construction budgets for $250K to $20MM projects.5. Solicit quotations from sub-contractors.6. Develop specifications/scopes of work and schedules to be included into customer proposal.7. Interface with the Contracts department in reference to projects in order to insure compliance with Federal, State, Local laws and Business Objectives.8. Critical Path Methods (CPM) schedules for all projects.9. Drive CTQ's and customer satisfaction as they relate to custom projects and bid proposals.10. Drive specific technical initiatives to improve processes.11. Review bidding and contract documents to insure adherence to the applicable qualifications.12. Assist in the selection of vendors.13. Review subcontractor quotations. 14. Identify problem and/or risk issues and recommend solutions. Education, Background, and Skills:1. BA in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture or equivalent background required.2. 5+ years estimating and construction background.3. Great communication and people skills.4. PC proficient in a Windows environment. (Microsoft Project, Microsoft excel, etc.)5. Strong organization and time management expertise essential.6. Building and safety code compliance knowledge and application.7. PC proficient in a Windows environment. (Microsoft Project, Ms excel, etc.)8. Strong organization, time management and leadership skills essential.9. Expertise to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.10. Valid driver's license.11. 20%-30% travel required.
