NOW HIRING A collision ESTIMATOR Apprentice: The Collision Estimator Apprentice will support operations by assisting experienced Collision Estimators in accurately assessing and estimating the cost of repairing vehicles that have been involved in accidents or sustained damages. The role will be responsible for leading customers through the vehicle repair process, creating and submitting insurance forms, and collecting payments. The Collision Estimator Apprentice is an entry-level role that offers an excellent opportunity to learn and develop skills within the automotive industry. Assist in conducting visual inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage. Identify all necessary repairs and replacements required to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. Work alongside experienced Collision Estimators to calculate repair/replacement costs by considering labor hours, parts, materials, and other services required for each vehicle repair. Assist in communicating concise and accurate estimates to customers and adjustors. Aid in creating comprehensive repair plans that outline the required steps, parts, and labor required to complete repairs according to established timelines. Communicate with customers, insurance adjusters, and internal team members to discuss repair options, provide detailed estimates, and obtain all required approvals. pOSITION REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A Vocational or technical education in automotive repair or a related field is preferred. One year of previous experience in an automotive repair shop or collision center is preferred. Previous experience working with insurance companies is preferred. A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. The ability to obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), and other relevant certifications during employment is preferred.
