Position Overview: Working under the direct supervision of the licensed nursing staff, the Nurse Assistant provides direct patient care, assists with activities of daily living, and a variety of physical, social and other patients' needs. In addition to performing the job duties of all Nurse Assistants in a staff position, the Rehabilitation Nurse Assistant will be accountable for the position duties listed below. Essential Functions : Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Qualifications & Skills: a) Education: Must be certified as a Nurse Assistant in the State of Colorado. Must have the ability to understand written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, patients, and family members. b) Training & Experience: Three months experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
