Overview: Clinical Supply Project Manager - SkillBridge Intern The Global Clinical Supply (GCS) organization is accountable for managing the 'end-to-end' integrated clinical supply chain across the full Merck Research Laboratories (MRL) portfolio of clinical trials. GCS is accountable for the planning, sourcing, labelling, packaging and delivery of clinical supplies to clinical sites globally. The GCS Planning (Planning) organization is the key interface between clinical development teams and the operational/executional arms within the business. The Protocol Clinical Supply Project Manager (Protocol CSPM)/Inventory Clinical Supply Project Manager (Inventory CSPM) SkillBridge Intern will support Protocol and/or Inventory CSPMs in executing tasks necessary to plan and manage all clinical supply activities related to their assigned studies. The intern should have knowledge of general supply chain activities, sound collaboration skills, and the ability to drive results in a dynamic environment.Primary activities may include, but are not limited to:*Responsible for creating and managing inventory for assigned studies (e.g. Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS))*Support Protocol and/or Inventory CSPMs in interactions with key stakeholders such as regulatory, quality, logistics and other supply chain areas to address clinical supply related topics.*Responsible for communicating clinical supply needs per study as well as analyzing and anticipating project risks in the clinical supply chain.*Under the guidance of the Protocol and/or Inventory CSPM, utilize key tools for planning (i.e. SAP, IRT) and managing clinical supplies for assigned studies.*Responsibilities can include general project management, tracking project performance, and creating and maintaining detailed project documentation.*Support the collection of clinical supply chain metrics and assist in identifying areas for operational improvement.*Support process improvements to standardize work, reduce cost / cycle time, eliminate waste and improve cost effectiveness of operations.*Support critical non-pipeline activities in clinical supply planning groups, such as broader process improvement initiatives, subject matter expert roles, and cross-functional projects. Work Experience Minimum Education required: *Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or scientific discipline required. Required Experience and Skills: Eligibility for participation in the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge program. Minimum 2 years of project management experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in planning, scheduling, coordination, and processing of supply chain activities or equivalent. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship-building abilities and high personal integrity and energy. Ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives effectively to mitigate supply risks. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems or applications to support the role. Preferred experience and Skills: Results-oriented with proven ability to execute collaborative projects, develop subject matter expertise, and negotiate and resolve conflicts across functional areas and organizations. Knowledge of project management, order management, supply chain operations, and document control. Familiarity with SAP as an ERP/MRP system, quality procedures, SOP execution and demand planning/forecasting. Ability to use technology to support process simplification or improvement activities (e.g., Qlik, Microsoft Power Platform, Spotfire). Primary Work Site/Schedule *Remote capable while in the SkillBridge internship.*On-site work locations: Rahway, NJ, OR West Point, PA; Hybrid, preferred for full-time position. Requirement: Transitioning Service Member who is eligible for participation in the DOD SkillBridge program.
