Cleaner Job Type: Part Time, Permanent Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Salary: A GBP 23,151 per annum, pro rata A GBP 12.00 per hour (Inclusive of Real Living Wage). Actual salary for 10 hours A GBP 6,257 per annum Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06.00 : 08.00 The council are proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage Council, paying all of their employees a minimum of A GBP 12.00 per hour; leading and setting standards for good work within the city. Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services. They have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chefs and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings. Their service is committed to delivering a high standard of service to their customers and in doing so investing in their staff and staff development. The Role An opportunity exists for suitable individuals to work within the Facility Operations as a Cleaner at Kenton Academy, based in Kenton Newcastle upon Tyne. The council are looking for someone who: Has well developed interpersonal skills and is capable of dealing effectively with staff Has a flexible approach to work, hours and locations Is capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying.
