POSITION OVERVIEW : Under the leadership of the Director of Engineering and Projects Team Lead, the Civil Technologist will work within high voltage substations installing secondary oil containments. They will be involved in all phases of projects from quotation and design to the construction and project closing documentation. The Civil Technologist will perform a variety of tasks in office and in the field, which will require travel across north America. RESPONSIBILITIES : Perform complete project reviews including scope of work (SOW), appropriate volume and cost calculations, execution of schedules (guidance), design review prior to bid and release of quotations. Conduct on-site visits of installations to ensure quality standards are met and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and staff. Provide technical support during the engineering and construction phases of projects. Define project requirements in collaboration with the project team.
