Senior Care Community looking for a certified nursing assistant to assist with resident personal needs. Must also assist in providing care in a dignified and respectful manner to all residents while maintaining the resident's independence and well-being. We are currently hiring for both the morning shift (6:30 am to 3:00 pm) and the evening shift (2:30 pm to 3:00 pm) and we also are hiring for Graveyard shift. We have both full time and part time available. Certified Nursing Assistant Must: Maintain and protect the dignity and privacy of all residents. Protect all resident rights. C.N.A. will assist residents with personal needs as requested, while helping to maintain resident independence and well-being. Document appropriately services delivered to residents and any significant changes in condition. Meet, or exceed, Western States Senior Communities standards of appearance; comply with Western States Senior Communities' sanitation, hygiene and health standards of community personnel. Change simple dressings for non-infected chronic or postoperative conditions. C.N.A. must be willing to perform skin care including bathing, applications of creams and ointments, or treatment of minor skin problems. Perform any other reasonable task delegated by Registered Nurse. Certified Nursing Assistant Requirements: Must possess a current CNA license or possess one within 4 months from the date of hire. Ability to care for and effectively communicate with senior residents, families, supervisor, employees. Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, twisting and upward reaching. Prolonged periods of standing and / or walking. Physical ability to assist in lifting and transferring residents. Must posses or obtain a food handlers permit. Must posses or obtain CPR certification. We do some in house training several times a year. Needs to be able to communicate with the department heads of the nursing department about any concerns regarding our residents. The ability to be a team player and get along well with others in the working enviroment. We have a Personal Touch Culture in our facility. This culture is meant to inspire our staff to go above and beyond just providing the necessary cares for our residents. We want our staff to personally get to know our residents and the things they like. You can provide personal touch in many ways. An example: We have a resident who can no longer see well but was an avid reader in your downtime you would take time to help her enjoy something she used to do by reading to her.
