Headquartered in Lexington, MA CAMX Power LLC is a technology development company operating as two divisions focused on electrochemical and electromechanical applications. CAMX Power develops cutting-edge materials for next generation batteries. Using CAMX Powers patented GEMX technology we have successfully commercialized cathode materials for next generation Li-ion batteries. Our development programs are interdisciplinary in nature, comprises of highly motivated personnel with diverse backgrounds to assist in our battery research and development work. In addition to core battery related expertise such as electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, materials science, inorganic synthesis, solid state physics, organic/polymer chemistry, we also have staff with expertise in chemical reactor engineering, electronics, and electrical engineering, mechanical/thermal Job Description: As a member of CAMX Power's Materials Implementation Team, the technician will concentrate on slurry making and electrodes fabrication for coin cells. Responsibilities: Making slurry and electrodes for small format batteries. coin cell assembly and testing; and synthesizing battery materials for our internal and external evaluation. The technician will also be responsible for general laboratory maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Operations used may include shaker and roll mills, draw down table, wet chemistry titrations, calender, muffle furnaces and tube furnaces, sieving, and powder handling. Qualifications: Technician must be hand-on with the ability to take on multiple tasks. A background in chemistry, particularly in the battery field is a plus but not a requirement. The Technician must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to function effectively as part of our team. In addition, the analyst must be self-motivated, able to learn quickly, and willing to take the initiative to get things done. Education: Required Level of Education and Experience: 2+ year working in laboratory environment.
