GENERAL: Cleanliness, organization and safety are just a few values at Wausau Tile. The Custodian plays a key role in giving our employees, customers and visitors this impression when they enter our facility. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to help us keep our production buildings and production offices clean, organized and safe, both inside and out. BRIEF DESCRIPION: May include but is not limited to: Wash walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures & switches, all horizontal surfaces, etc. Wash glass doors, windows and mirrors. Follow safety standards in all aspects of performance of the above functions, report/remove unsafe equipment and attends safety education sessions. Assist in the preparation of the grounds at assigned work areas to conduct annual weeding and floral planting Inspect entree ways, walkways, steps and risers during winter months; keep all areas clear of snow and ice and place ice melt where needed. Assist with painting to maintain floor markings, hand and guardrails. Remove litter and light debris daily using a broom, spiked stick and/or motorized equipment. Cut lawns using mowing equipment twice a week; as the weather seasons allow. Spray weeds. Clean mower and company vehicles. Trim and edge sidewalks, flower beds and walls using edging tools bi-weekly as the weather seasons allow. Prune shrubs and trees. Painting and light construction as needed. Assists and report to the Grounds Manger MUST have valid driver's license. Physical Requirements :Includes but is not limited to, prolonged periods of standing, working on a computer, bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, walking, twisting, squatting and kneeling. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, knees, back shoulders and neck. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like. Safety: Accident prevention is the responsibility of all employees and shall be a primary consideration in all phases of our operations and administration.
