The successful candidates can expect to work 40 hours per week starting at 5:00am on weekdays and weekends, with the occasional closing shift. This position would suit someone who is an early-riser who likes to have their afternoons and evenings free and is not suitable for students! Bistro Shifts and Hours: Monday to Saturday: 5:00am to 7:30pm Sundays: 5:00am to 7:30pm BISTRO LINE COOK In our Bistro, we are passionately creating delicious food made with carefully chosen organic, local sustainable ingredients: fresh produce, ethically raised and grass-fed meat and dairy, and products without additives or preservatives. Our customers love our delicious bistro offerings, from smoothies and juices to hearty mac 'n cheese and a fresh salad bar. And, of course, we offer tasty options for a variety of food preferences including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and paleo diets. The bistro cook is responsible for ensuring all of our offerings are fresh, hot and delicious. Produce, prepare, and serve necessary menu selections, ensuring that all recipes are made correctly and according to the directions provided. Perform food preparation duties such as rinsing, peeling and slicing. You own the hot bar and its delicious creations. Adhere to policies, guidelines and recommendations about food and food safety, and safely use equipment. Alert the Team Leader or Bistro Manager when challenges arise with customers, equipment failure, product shortages, etc. You love being creative and can put together an attractive food display Keeping your workspace clean is your jam!
