The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience handling bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation (including mortgage foreclosure litigation), and other creditors' rights matters in and out of court. Strong academic background, excellent writing skills, and admission to practice in New York and New Jersey are required. Duties:Handle bankruptcy litigation matters, including representing creditors and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings.Manage commercial litigation cases, including mortgage foreclosure litigation and other creditors' rights matters.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediation sessions.Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external parties to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters.Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case developments and advising on legal strategies.Assist with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.Stay updated on developments in bankruptcy and commercial litigation laws and regulations. Requirements:2-5 years of experience in bankruptcy and commercial litigation.Admission to practice law in New Jersey.Strong academic background.Excellent writing and communication skills. Education:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to practice law in New Jersey. Skills:Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.Experience in handling commercial litigation matters, including mortgage foreclosure litigation.Strong legal research and writing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients. This firm has given a lot of thought to the interplay between the New York and the New Jersey legal markets. Although one of the oldest and largest in New Jersey, this firm wants to capture the Manhattan type work at Manhattan type billing rates. Although they are not quite there yet, this firm has developed a structure that enables it to base the bulk of its personnel and resources in New Jersey, and have a small New York space from which to handle the 'big city' work. An interesting plan, to be sure. Associates here rave about the reasonable hours and the immediate responsibility, many of whom deal directly with clients and handle entire cases. This is one of the few New Jersey firms where you will see the reverse commute--attorneys leaving Manhattan to take advantage of pleasant work environment and excellent training ground.
