The Service This Bank Worker post is based within a 9-bed care home in Ryde on the Isle of Wight for service users with Learning Disabilities. The Role The focus of this Bank Worker is to work as part of a team providing support and care to residents with learning disabilities and autism living in the community and our supported schemes, to promote independence, health and wellbeing This will include the following tasks and responsibilities: Provide the care and/or support to each resident as identified in their person-centred care and/or support plan. This may include personal care at some services Deliver the care and/or support in a way which promotes independence, rights, respect, choices and inclusion in their community. Summon professional assistance in the case of an emergency/or deal with an emergency situation Maintain and develop professional relationships with residents Provide assistance with the security of the residents’ home, and provide support with maintaining a safe and secure environment Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times, including food hygiene, manual handling and infection control Maintain resident records including recording incidents, safeguarding, accidents and near misses Maintain professional boundaries at all times The Candidate No experience is required for this Bank Worker role as all training will be provided.
