General Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Purpose The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership for all essential branch activities for the service division including P&L management, personnel management and training, and facilities management. A solid candidate will be a strong problem solver, able to generate and implement strategic decisions through the use of analysis and experience, and is results driven. Key Responsibilities and Duties Manage day-to-day operational decision making within a fast-paced business Increase sales and gross margin and meet sales goals Effectively control costs Generate the planned return on investment Build and train your team Project staffing needs based on demands and work closely with Human Resources to recruit top talent Execute and follow through with branch plans Identify and implement initiatives that are well-aligned with the company's strategic plan Embrace, support and practice a collaborative style in order to achieve results with and through others Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Highly motivated to get things done the right away Excellent communication skills, listening, speaking, writing Highly confident and persuasive Must enjoy being constantly challenged Proficient with smartphones, computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Must live within the branch territory Strong financial acumen - must feel comfortable using Key Performance metrics and financial statements to manage the business and excel as a leader
