Assistant Construction Superintendent

The Korte Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent. This person will be responsible for providing project support in the form of manual labor, management assistance, and general record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a solid history in construction field operations and general carpentry. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide support to the project team Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and suppliers Commitment to a flexible work-week, i.e. Tuesday-Saturday based on project needs Maintain safety rails, barriers and perform other general housekeeping MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully. Good written and verbal communication skills Professional in actions and appearance Thorough and detail-oriented Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints Effective interactions with project partners, subcontractors and vendors Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision Ability to operate water trucks and small commercial equipment and tools Reliable personal transportation EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE Qualified applicants will have experience in the following: High-School Diploma or GED 5-10 years of construction industry experience OSHA 30-hour certificate PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regular use of hands to finger, handle or feel Reach with hands and arms Stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Talk or hear with others on jobsite and via phone/computer communications Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Walk up at least five flights of stairs WORK ENVIRONMENT This position will be at the worksite at all times whenever work or testing is being performed.
